BTS world tour canceled due to Covid: BTS ‘”Map of the Soul Tour” has been canceled, and for now, its record label has been announced in a statement posted on Big Hit Music Fan Platform Weverse and confirmed by multiple outlets.
“Our company has worked very hard to resume preparations for the BTS Map of the Soul tour, knowing that all the fans are eagerly and long-awaited for the tour,” the statement said. “Due to changing circumstances beyond our control, it has become difficult to resume performances at the same level and timeline as previously thought.”
The tour was originally announced in January 2020 and will start in April 2020.
But in the light of the Covid-19 epidemic, it was postponed.
In the meantime Group Pay, Per View has been screened at 2021 Grammys along with online concerts and has released new singles including “Dynamite” and “Butter”.
But the ongoing epidemic has stopped live shows for the time being.
“We are working to prepare a viable schedule and performance structure that will meet your expectations and we will provide updated notices as soon as possible,” the label said in a statement.
