Newsom recall: Many California Instagram Influencer models are urging their followers to vote to remember their Democratic governor, Gavin Newsom.
“If you want to save the state of California, you have to vote yes,” model and actress Corina Rico posted on Instagram to her nearly 150,000 followers, first reported by the Washington Free Beacon. “I call on all influencers right now. September 14th is the day we should remember him.”
Rico’s video sparked a response from fellow model Chelsea Heath, who texted the governor of California to her 70,000 followers.
“If you live in the state of California, please get this guy out of the office,” Heath said in an Instagram post on Tuesday. “He has done a lot of damage to our state and there is no point in coming back now, so it is best to vote. I do not care if you vote for a Democrat or a Republican. Let’s get this guy out and put our state where it needs to be.”
Rico says Gavin voted for Newsom in 2018, but now supports prominent Republican challenger Larry Elder.
“I know there’s a lot of controversies because one of the top candidates is Larry Elder, a Republican quote-uncoat,” Rico said. “He’s an African American man who grew up on the street in the South Central. He’s not a politician from a wealthy family, he does not know how to live on the streets.
California voters will decide the fate of Newsum on September 14, when they return their ballots and answer the question “yes” or “no” to whether Newsum has been widely panicked for its tough coronavirus sanctions, the enormous homeless crisis, and liberalism. Policies should be removed from office. If more than 50% of voters say yes, whoever gets the most votes among his challengers on the ballot will become the new governor.
CNN’s support for Newsum on Wednesday appears to be waning, and recent polls suggest that Republican Field, led by traditional radio host Larry Elder, has been linked to a number of aggressive offensive statements launched by Newsom’s political apparatus.
Information that President Joe Biden is going to campaign for Newsum in the next few weeks.
