Concerts and festivals have been canceled: The California Music Festival organizers announced March 1, which is usually held over Memorial Day weekend — coming back on May 25-30, 2022
The day after the Lightning Bottle made their announcement, the Country Music Association canceled the CMA Fest in Nashville.
“We know our fans are hoping for a safe return to the festival this summer, and although we’re encouraged by the more widespread availability of COVID – 19 vaccines, we still face many challenges that prevent us from bringing our fans around the world. They look forward to the CMA Fest experience,” said Sarah Tern, CMA CEO. I said stated in my statement. Find your calendars for CMA Fest June 9-12, 2022! ”
BST Hyde Park
Held over two weekends with six concert days in London, the organizers announced on March 30 that they would be performing the July event to July 2022 with Pearl Jam and Duran Duran.
It was announced on April 27 that Burning Man would return in 2022, instead of being held the week before Labor Day in Black Rock City, Nevada.
On June 23, the organizers of a massive two-week electronic music event in Boom, Belgium, posted a statement saying, “Our company must announce that the 16th edition of Tomaroland Belgium will not take place in 2021.”
The festival is scheduled to return on March 22nd.
Dierks Bentley’s Seven Peaks Music Festival
On July 9, Country Star announced on Instagram that his three-day camping festival, scheduled for the Labor Day weekend, was not taking place.
“I can not worry too much about it,” Bentley said in his post. “We tried our best to make this happen, but Chaffy County decided against lifting capacity limits.”
New Orleans Jazz Fest
Louisiana was badly damaged by the epidemic, and on August 8 organizers announced that the festival had already been postponed from spring to November 2021 – canceled for a second year.
On March 27, Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters announced that he was postponing his “It’s Not a Drill” tour until 2022, “If it saves a life, it’s worth it.”
Rage Against the Machine & Run the Jewels
The rock band and hip hop duo teamed up for their “Public Service Announcement” tour, but on April 8 the official Rage Against the Machine Twitter account tweeted that it was postponed until the spring of 2022.
On August 6, it was announced that Bubble’s August tour of the U.S. would be “postponed due to growing concerns about coronavirus infections.”
The August 9 announcement caused Limp Bizkit to cancel their “Limited Last Minute Post Pandemic Popup Party Edition” tour.
“In July, I wholeheartedly thought the pandemic was falling behind us,” Garth Brooks said in a statement about resuming his summer stadium tour.
For that reason, on August 18, the Country Star announced that it was canceling its next five shows.
