Covid in Maharashtra: There are currently no active cases in the Nandurbar district and less than 100 infected patients are being treated in Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Amravati, Akola, Buldana, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli, an official told PTI on Wednesday.

Maharashtra’s Dhule, Washim, Yavatmal, Bhandara, Wardha, and Gondia districts have less than 10 cases of active coronavirus (Covid-19), but only seven districts, including Pune and Ahmednagar, have been affected. The state, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, and his cabinet were briefed on Wednesday. There are a total of 36 districts in Maharashtra which continue to be the worst affected state from the epidemic across India.

There are currently no active cases in the Nandurbar district and less than 100 infected patients are being treated in Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Amravati, Akola, Buldana, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli, an official told PTI on Wednesday. Maharashtra’s weekly Kovid-19 positivity rate was 2.44 percent, while Ratnagiri and Kolhapur districts initially showed a worrying trend, but their Covid-19 growth rate fell below the state’s weekly positivity rate, the official said.

Maharashtra has so far recovered from 6,406,345 cases, 135,413 deaths, and 6,209,364 coronavirus cases. On Wednesday, the state reported 5,132 cases in the last 24 hours, while 158 patients died and 8,196 recovered from the viral disease. There are 58,069 active cases across Maharashtra.
