South Kashmir encounter kills 3 JeM terrorists: On Friday, two militants belonging to the “hit squad” of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in an encounter with security forces in Krulo in the Pulwama district.
Officials of the Pulwama district of south Kashmir say three Jaish-e-Muhammad (JM) militants were killed in an encounter with security forces on Saturday. After the police and army launched a search operation early Saturday morning, the encounter began in the upper part of the Nagaberan Troll forest area in Avantipora.

On Friday, two militants belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen’s “hit squad” were killed in an encounter with security forces in Krulo in the Pulwama district.
Saturday’s encounter was one of the latest shootings, with security forces intensifying counter-fire operations in the valley, killing 94 militants so far this year. Eight militants were killed in separate operations that lasted until Saturday this month.
It also comes at a time of violence in Jammu & Kashmir and attacks on politicians.
Four civilians, including a policeman and three political activists, were killed in suspected terrorist attacks this month.
