Joe Biden DOJ appeals: The Biden Administration is appealing a Texas court ruling that ended the Obama-era child immigration policy unconstitutional.

According to CNN, Biden’s Department of Justice has filed a notice to appeal against a ruling made earlier this year by U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen, who will begin the appeal process in the Conservative 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund represents the DACA recipient group that supports the program, as well as filing a notice to appeal.

DACA was created in 2012 and is intended to provide temporary protection status for illegal immigrant children brought to the United States by their parents.
Republicans have argued that Obama did not have the authority to design the program and that he seized power in Congress.
